wanted to put up a new shot to update things a little. am hoping to have a handful of new stuff to throw up on here but this should do for the meantime…
this was actually a pretty fun shot to do and got me out of the rhythm of environmental stuff and made me pull things closer to studio work. ended up buying some scrabble pieces for this but cut the majority of them out of poplar wood the night before, was loads of fun sanding down 200 fake scrabble pieces. Dorcas Alexander was the subject for this shoot and i sat her down in a chair, slid a chin height piece of foamcore into place and piled on a ton of little lettered pieces.
this is lit from the side with a large softbox and from the back right with a honeycombed strobe all hooked into a dynalite 1200 pack.
